Message To Our Families
Dear Families,
For the past two years we have lived in a pandemic adapting to and adjusting to the ever changing COVID-19 virus and protocols. As I expect you know, COVID Restrictions have been lifted due to decreasing positivity rates in our city, state and nation. YOUR children....OUR young children.....have been amazing throughout this time and have been an example to all of us as how to still enjoy and make the most of each moment despite challenging circumstances. Not a day has passed that they have kept us smiling and moving forward thanks to their enthusiasm and joyfulness.
Beginning next Monday, March 7th, mask wearing will now be OPTIONAL on buses and inside our school. The only location where masks must be worn will be in the school nurses office. If a child needs to go to the nurse and needs a mask, we will have children's masks available that can be provided.
Please remember that families can choose whether they wish to send their child with or without a mask during their school day. Please let your child and their teacher know what your expectation is regarding your child wearing or not wearing a mask. Our school staff will support and respect whatever decision you make.
Even though masks will be optional for children and staff, we will continue to encourage good health habits, follow cleaning/sanitizing protocols and encourage physical distancing wherever possible.
Thank you for your support, faith and trust in us by sharing your children with us.
Sincerely,
Rosario Alvarez

Updates From the Nurses
We hope that everyone and their families had a nice February break! As spring approaches and Covid cases decline there seems to be brighter days ahead for sure! Please continue to send us any updated medical information such as vaccines, physical exams and new medications. Thank you to everyone who has sent in updates, this is extremely helpful. Please see below for a short blurb regarding sleep.
Sleep gives your body and your brain a break. Too little sleep can make you cranky and less able to think clearly and follow directions. Kids need 10-11 hours of sleep a night! Establishing a bedtime routine helps kids wind down from their busy days. Low lights in the bedroom, snuggle time with a parent and a book, and soft, soothing music all help children fall asleep faster.
