Aligning Language Arts Content for ELLs: Support for Secondary Teachers
A collaboration of the Department of ELLs and the Language Arts Team, these trainings are designed to be hands-on, practical, and timely.
Participants will:
- Receive 2 wordless picture books plus 3 Saddleback Hi-Lo books to supplement your classroom library and structured independent reading.
- Preview the language arts YPGs for the 4th Six Weeks.
- Take part in a model of sheltered instruction strategies designed to address comprehension.
- Leave with at least one resource and one tool for addressing grade level gaps with ELLs.
- Please register in HCP: Course #80812.

- Sub paid by the Department of ELLs for teachers of ELLs.
- Please bring your laptop.
