LYNX Scholars Engage in Hands-On Learning!

LYNX provides FHS students numerous opportunities to explore careers through hands-on learning experiences, both at Frederick High School and at local businesses. Check out our scholars in action with our long-standing LYNX partners: AstraZeneca, EDCO, Lilypons Water Gardens, and Rita's of Frederick!

LYNX scholars donned lab coats and worked with scientists from AstraZeneca on a “glow germ” lab demonstrating proper procedures for removing sterile gloves to prevent the exposure and the spread of germs. Scientists from the Frederick Biologics Manufacturing Center met with LYNX scholars to explore how large molecule biologics are made and the qualities of a capable scientist!
