2023-24 Course Selections are due March 10th!
Milton High School counselors have presented a course selection lesson to all students grades 8-11. If your students will be in grades 9-12 at Milton High next year, their course selections are due on March 10.
Please visit the MHS website to open the Program of Studies. On the first page is a link to a video explaining the process for current 8th graders, as well as a pdf of the process for students grade 9-11.
We encourage students to follow their current teachers' course recommendations. When selecting courses for next year, it is also important to consider the rigor of the entire schedule, and attempt to keep a work/life balance. Counselors at the high school are available by email and phone if you have questions or concerns with the course selection process.

Some study tips to keep in mind:
From the Superintendent's Blog
As you may have seen in the Superintendent's blog this week, MPS Leadership met with our partners in the Milton Police Department for our regularly scheduled Safety and Security Advisory Committee meeting last week. At these meetings, we debrief past events, discuss protocols, and plan for the future. Each incident or drill identifies what we do well as well as areas for improvement. As is our usual practice, we will hold an unannounced Lockdown Drill before the end of the school year. Upon hearing the lockdown announcement, students and staff use the knowledge gained during previous training and drills and enter into lockdown. Milton Police personnel are on the scene and quickly assess the building, preparing feedback for each school. The entire drill takes under 30 minutes, and while the drill is unannounced, students and staff are aware the event is a drill shortly after the lockdown announcement. While we all wish these drills were unnecessary, we have to work within the current reality facing schools today and prepare for these unlikely but potential events. As always, we appreciate our ongoing partnership with Milton Police and Fire and the support and understanding of MPS parents and guardians.
