Safety At CCES
I would like to share information regarding safety measures we have at Crabapple Crossing ES to ensure our students’ and staff members’ safety.
• After 7:40 a.m., parents must walk their child into the building to sign in.
• The front doors are locked after 7:40 a.m. Parents, staff, and visitors, must ring the bell for entry. Please be prepared to identify yourself and the reason you are here.
• If you are checking out a student early, please arrive before 2:00 p.m. You must show your identification.
• Please make sure any person who is authorized to pick up your child is listed in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
• Once a month, we have various drills to make sure students know what to do in the case of an actual emergency. We have evacuation drills, soft lockdown, hard lockdown, and shelter drills.
• No parent or visitor is allowed to enter the building from a side or back door. All parents and visitors must enter through the front door.
• No door is allowed to be propped open for any reason.
• Parents of walkers and carpool riders must have a tag in order to pick up your child. Please know that you will be asked to park and come in to show your ID if you do not have your assigned tag.
• New tags for walkers and carpool riders are issued every year. You must have the current year’s tag in order to pick up your child.
Please know these rules are in place to make sure your child is safe. I truly appreciate your support!
