Family of the Month!

Congratulations to the Sakali Family for being chosen Family of the Month! This is the Sakali Family's fifth year at Ventana Vista. Pierre and Rogina have three children at Ventana Vista; Sophia and Soleil in fourth grade and Sergius in second grade. Sebastian attends Valley View Early Learning Center. The family has lived in Tucson for 11 years. Their favorite family activities are swimming, tennis, movies, concerts and spending time with family and friends.

What they like most about Ventana Vista is they get the children interested in learning and excited to be at school every morning! They love the excellent teachers; they're supportive and approachable. They love the lovely office staff and appreciate their dedication!

FFO Corner...News from the Ventana Vista FFO

•Did you know the FFO donated $14,000 for new patio picnic tables? They should arrive in about five weeks!

•Thank you to everyone who volunteered for the New Family Meet and Greet and Open House, especially our Fifth Grade Ambassadors. We appreciated the time and work put in by everyone connected to the event.

•Thanks to Emy Reidle for chairing the EduKit school supply drive and Spirit Wear! Both were very successful and the t-shirts look great on Friday Spirit Days.

•Fundraising is well underway to raise money for the annual Fifth Grade camping trip. So far they have $200 towards the trip!

•Join us for the next general FFO meeting on Tuesday, September 25th at 8:30am. Dr. Kamerzell, district superintendent, will be coming to speak about the upcoming bond overrides and learn about upcoming events, such as Halloween Trunk or Treat!
