NASA’s High School Aerospace Scholars
HAS is an authentic learning experience for Texas high school juniors to engage with NASA’s mission to become the next generation of explorers. Students are able to learn about different STEM-related fields of study they might want to pursue in college. Following a series of online lessons, highest achieving students will be invited to an all-expenses-paid, week-long visit to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston during the summer. Selected participants will plan a mission to Mars while being mentored and receiving guidance from NASA scientists and engineers. Both the online and onsite portions are free to participants.
Applications are available for students beginning September 10, 2019, through October 23, 2019.

Harmony School of Advancement is proud to announce the following students who either received a commendation for their performance on the PSAT or has been named as a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program:
Commended Performance on PSAT
Established in 1955, National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) is an independent, not-for-profit organization that operates without government assistance. NMSC conducts the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an annual academic competition for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships. Since its founding, NMSC has recognized over 3.3 million students and provided some 432,000 scholarships worth over $1.7 billion. The honors awarded by NMSC to exceptionally able students are viewed as definitive marks of excellence.
We hope all students, parents, and staff will join us in congratulating these outstanding students on their well-deserved recognition!
Students’ academic performance has been proven to dramatically improve when parents are involved in their
education. Join us in strengthening our student body, the staff, and our school to be the best that we can be.
Your Membership fees/donations help fund projects such as putting up flag poles, electronic signboard or benches in the campus; and support programs for student life enhancement, family connections, and teacher appreciation.
