Fairview Junior High Library

Beginning of the Year
What a crazy start to the school year! We had all the students come to the library to reset their computer passwords. The students have dowloaded the Skyward app to their phones, so they can check their grades. We have encouraged them to check their grades at least once a week.
We have seen all classes several times plus an additional 657 individual students have visited.
Bookmark Design Contest
Students have the opportunity to design bookmarks. Completed bookmarks are due on October 13th. A committee will vote on the winning bookmarks. Winning bookmarks will be sent to Media to have100 color copies made.
nAscaR Reading Challenge
All three grade levels plus the teachers are competing to see who can earn the most AR points this school year. The wall outside Coach Sklar's classroom has a road where students can see the four "Nascars" racing towards the finish line.
Guerrilla Games
We are getting the students interested in participating in the Guerrilla Games. Students and librarians are reading the 20 Lone Star books and writing summaries to help them prepare for the games. Fairview already has one student who has read 9 Lone Stars!
