Semester Grades Information
Click on the board presentation link and unadopted revision of Grades Policy link to read about the options for alternative grades for the semester. This is being presented to board on Monday. In reading it, they have kept the NM mark as a possibility for a grade during the pandemic and it looks like the guidelines for grade recovery is the same as an NC or I. To make it simple, if you want to give an alternative grade, use the NCP grade as the requirements for credit recovering is simpler. Also note, the E grade can only be given in middle school. A reminder that grades are due in Infinite Campus by 5:00pm on Wednesday, December 16. Also email Laura an e-copy of your grades.
Student Empathy Survey This Week
Please identify a student with whom you will do a face to face meeting regarding their distance learning experiences. Click on this link to submit your names. Thank you for your support. Once you have submitted your student name, click on this link to access the Empathy Survey Questions to ask your student via TEAMS or Meet. Teachers, this is really important data that we can use to improve our services next semester. Right now we have 24 students who have completed this face-to-face survey. Let get at least 65 students to participate.
POSTPONED: ELM 20-21 T-Shirt Distribution Drive-Through
Unfortunately due to the rise in COVID rates, all non-essential drive through events have been postponed until further notice. Our T-shirt distribution falls in that category for now. We have been given permission to add it to an essential distribution next semester, either a meal distribution or instructional materials distribution. In the mean time, please be sure to submit your T-shirt sizes by clicking on this link. You must use your district's gmail/G-Suite account to access the form. Please take time to complete this form
Eastlake Educational Foundation Fundraising Campaign
This past Friday, EEF launched its fundraising campaign. This campaign raises funds to support the technological needs of ELM as well as other schools in the area. As distance learning continues, our technological needs will increase. I am inviting you to join me in supporting this year's campaign. Click on this link to learn about the Come Together Community Campaign. There are different levels of sponsorships. Each donation, no matter how big or small, counts and WILL make a difference. You may also donate by texting to 619. 333.5548 and text the code: elmiddle. This will ensure that 100% of your donation will go directly to ELM. The donation window is from November 19 - December 31. We can do this!
