Mental Mondays During Husky Time - "Super HOG Dash!"
Our March "Mental Monday” activity during Husky Time kicked off our "Super HOG Dash" Coin Drive Competition that we participated in with Timberview High School during their HOG Week. HOG stands for Helping Others through Giving, and the theme this year is Super HOG!
We helped Timberview High School raise over $30,000 to benefit the programs at Cook Children's Hospital
Stay tuned to see exactly how much our Huskies raised and to see which team won the "Super HOG Dash" Coin Competition!
Dress Code - We need your help!
It is that time of year when the weather gets warmer, and the students want to test the waters with the dress code.
Our ultimate goal is for our students to be in class, however, students who are out of dress code will be placed in ISS if they cannot correct the dress code issue with extra clothes, calling a parent for backup clothing, etc.
Here is what we begin seeing that is not within dress code:
- Short Shorts - if the shorts are more than 5 inches above the knee, then they are out of dress code. Easy way to measure is the length of a notecard.
- Slides - Socks and sandals are not allowed.
- Leggings - These are okay as long as the shirt covers the front and back areas; however, we are seeing shorter shirts with the leggings. See through leggings are an even bigger no-no!
- Gaping/Huge Holes in Jeans - Jeans that have small holes from the knees down are not a major concern, but jeans with multiple holes, large and frayed holes, and holes above the knee, are not okay. If the student has leggings under the holes, that is fine, but no leggings=no bueno!
School Ends at 4:00 PM
Please make sure you pick your child up from school every day on time.

The school day ends at 4:00 PM. Please make sure your student is picked up in a timely manner.

This is ME!
This is ME!
"But I won’t let them break me down to dust
I know that there’s a place for us (…)
When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I’m gonna send a flood, gonna drown them out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I’m meant to be, this is me!"
