Bus Transportation Update

The Prairie community did not meet the required number of contracts to provide bus services this year. We had less than half of the 50 contracts needed to warrant the need for a bus.

Please note: Transportation will still be provided if services are designated in your child's specialized plan.

Attention Kindergarten Families

So fun to kick off the year with our Popsicles with the Principal on the playground! It was fun to observe the personalities come out! I look forward to being alongside them as they grow! I want to share a few points of info:

  • Log into Skyward for your child's teacher name on 8/08 (I apologize for having the incorrect date on a previous email)
  • Small Group Conferences will be held on 8/11-8/12. These will be 45-60 minute sessions with up to 4 families per group. Please bring your child with you so our intervention team can take this opportunity to screen individual children while parents meet with the teacher.
  • An email will come out on 8/08 for you to sign up for a conference time.
  • 8/15 is the first full day! Meet your child's teacher on the Kindergarten playground to start the day. Join PTA and me for coffee and Kleenex in the garden after drop off.
  • Some asked about class sizes and they are currently at 21-22 students each. Our educational aides are scheduled to provide support in the classrooms throughout the day, so all is going to be great!

Daisy's Back to School Supply List

Many thanks to our families who donated the funds last year for our school to adopt our facility therapy dog, Daisy!! Thanks to those who also donated food, treats, toys and funds to keep her well fed and happy! Daisy's fund is down to $25, so we need more donations to help Mrs. Tadokoro and her family provide the best for our special friend.

You can donate funds to the school or bring items with you to the Ice Cream Social.

Here are some items Daisy needs:

  • Costco Kirkland brand dog food
  • toys
  • treats

Click on this link to find out more about our Daisy.

Daisy is eager to return to work! She really misses serving your children!
