We wanted to inform you about a change we have made this year at Staley. We have implemented a W.I.N. Time (What I Need) with the objective of getting students the help they need in a timely manner to ensure grades and engagement are reaching potential throughout our building. This will be done by focusing on some soft-skill development (goal setting, organization, and reflective practices) as well as providing an opportunity to become an advocate for their own success.
This is where you come in. It is our goal to have your child send you an email every week updating you on their progress at school. They will share with you some of their successes, goals that they are working toward, current grade snapshot, and anything else on their mind. Our goal is to help keep students accountable to the goals they set as well as open some lines of communication between you and your child.
If you do not receive these emails from your student at least 2-3 times per month, perhaps that leads to a conversation at home with your child. If at any point, you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s WIN Time teacher and let them know. We will do our best to answer and/or direct your questions to the right person.
We hope this creates a proactive environment for our students, your family, and the communications that keep us connected.
Thanks so much for your support!
