Elmwood Express

January 21st, 2022

From the Principal's Desk...

Elmwood Families,

January has been flying by and I can’t believe the last week of January is already upon us. Monday January 31st, is our 100th day of school! This is a big deal in our primary grades.

Please note that next Friday is our Institute Day for teachers which means no school for the kids on Friday, January 28th.

We would like to send a thank you to all the parents that attended our safety presentation this past Thursday at Elm Middle School. We have attached the presentation for those that were not able to attend. If you have questions, please reach out to Mr. Lerner.

While we know everyone is extremely busy, we kindly ask for your feedback about how our school year is going. We would love for all parents to complete the 5Essentials parent survey. This is a yearly survey given by school districts across the state. Please click on the link to take a brief survey. It takes between 5-10 minutes, and we would greatly appreciate you providing feedback to us.

Finally, we have been experiencing not only below freezing temperatures, but rapid changes in the temperature as well. If you are like us, you may be questioning why we live somewhere that gets so cold! Please remember that unless the temperature is below 20 degrees, we still have the students go outside for recess. Please be sure your child has appropriate cold weather attire so they can enjoy the snow and outdoors!

Have a safe and wonderful weekend. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Hagins or myself.

Sincerely,

Mr. Lerner
