Dear New and Returning Promesa Families,


We hope that everyone had a wonderful 4th of July weekend with your families! Our team is back on campus should you want to stop by for a tour or just to hi! We will be available from 8am-4pm every Monday-Friday.

Meet the Teacher!

Wednesday, Aug. 11th, 4-6pm

Please note that we have changed Meet the Teacher night to be on Wednesday, August 11th from 4-6pm for ALL grades. It will be a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to meet our staff and to drop off supplies. We hope to see you there!

Frequently Asked Questions this Week!

As we gear up for the new school year, we know that you have many questions on your mind! We'll try to capture some of the most frequently asked questions for the week, but please never hesitate to reach out to us if you have any additional questions!


1) Is there a uniform policy for outerwear/jackets?

No, just please make sure any outerwear is appropriate and respectful. We know that outerwear can be expensive and wanted to provide additional flexibility with outerwear.


2) Where I can find the calendar for next year?

The family page on our website (https://www.promesaacademy.org/families) contains the calendar, schedule, uniform policy, supply lists, etc. That's always the best place to start, but don't hesitate to reach out to us (210-942-1700) with any questions!


3) What are the bus routes?

We are waiting on families to complete our transportation survey and hope to have bus routes ready to share with you in the next 1-2 weeks. Thank you for your patience!


4) Do we have a mascot?

Yes, last year our students voted on a mascot and they chose the pandas! We will be working on some t-shirts with our mascot.


5) Are we still accepting new students?

Yes! We still have a few open seats in each grade level so if you know of a family that is interested in applying to Promesa, please do let them know.


6) Where can I register for afterschool care?

We are still in conversations with a few afterschool providers as we determine the highest-quality and most affordable option for our families. We will send out more information about our afterschool provider in 1-2 weeks.
