Coloring Books for Cancer
20Time Project
What is 20Time?
20Time is an event that began at Google, which allowed employees to take 20% of their hours and work on a project/idea of whatever they wanted. In fact, it was a 20Time idea at Google that founded Gmail! My english teacher Ms. Pannell, announced that we would begin our own 20Time project and have time every friday in english class to work on it. For my 20Time project, I chose to focus on doing something for kids with Leukemia. My neighbor passed away two years ago from Leukemia and ever since then I've wanted to do something for her, but never had the chance. I also love working with kids, and that inspired me to combine my two ideas and do something for kids with Leukemia.
How to Participate:
Pick up an information card (gender, age range, hospital) and a ziplock bag at my house (18802 Peninsula Club Dr, Cornelius NC, 28031), and fill it with coloring books, markers, crayons, etc. for that special child in need of a little hope. You may also contact me on my cell (number located in my contact information) to receive your assigned child on an information card if you are unable to pick one up. Once your bag is filled and ready to go, bring it to my house or call me to come and pick it up, where it will then be delivered to the child on your information card at the end of April.
