4th Grade Visits Futaba Fair Fourth grade students enjoyed learning about Japanese culture at the Futabakai Japanese School's Futaba Fair. They participated in crafts, games and even had a photo opportunity to dress up in traditional kimonos (girls) and yukatas (boys). We are so appreciative of our ongoing partnership! | Global School Play Day It was wonderful to see our students enjoying many new building toys and interactive games. These toys and games were made available to all classrooms based on a generous grant from the ABC 25 Foundation, and written by our Student Learning Coach, Laurie Wasik. Students shared many positive reflections about the creativity, problem-solving and collaboration they engaged in during unstructured play with their peers. | PTA Book Club is Under Way! Over the course of three Tuesday lunch hours, students and PTA volunteers are coming together to read, discuss and participate in activities based on books with the theme of kindness. We are grateful to the PTA for giving a book as a keepsake to each child who participates. Thank you, PTA, for promoting our students' love of reading! |

Classroom Valentine Parties & Fancy Day, February 12
We are looking forward to celebrating friendship, love and caring at Dryden during our class Valentine parties on Wednesday, February 12!
In order to help keep our students with life-threatening food allergies safe, our school district expectations continue to be that Valentine cards to students cannot have any candy or food attached to them. Items such as goodie bags filled with treats or candy are also not permitted. Trinkets such as pencils, erasers, stickers, etc., are great alternatives as long as they are not edible.
February 12 is also a school spirit "Fancy Day" at Dryden. Everyone is invited to create or choose something "fancy" to wear to show your school spirit.
We look forward to this double celebration!

4th and 5th Grade Volleyball Night: Thursday, March 5 from 6:45-8:30pm
The PTA sponsored Volleyball Night is an event for all Dryden 4th and 5th grade students. No volleyball experience is required as our volunteer coaches will teach the basics of the game and ensure that all attending students have the opportunity to play. Mixed gender/grade teams will be formed by the PTA in an effort to keep the games competitive. Registered students will be given their team assignments at check in. This is always a fun night for our students, so please encourage them to attend and give volleyball a try!
The registration deadline is Monday, February 24, 2020. To register your child, volunteer to help, and to read more details, click on the blue registration link below:
