The Fugleflick "No Time To Waste" will be featured at the ONE EARTH film festival in Chicago on March 7 at the Gene Siskel Film Center, where it will be recognized as one of the festival winners. The Fugleflick Filmmakers have been awarded $100 and a matching amount to donate to an environmental charity of their choice. The "No Time to Waste" video and additional information can be found on Mrs. Fuglestad's blog or by clicking here. We are so proud of this group for their teamwork, creativity, genuine care for our environment, and how they are making this world a better place through art!

Thank you to the Exxon Mobil Gas Station on 1880 Arlington Heights Road for their Educational Alliance grant of $500 awarded to Dryden Elementary School! This grant will be utilized to fund interactive math and science activities in our school. We really appreciate the support of our local community!

Classroom Valentine Parties & Fancy Day, February 12

We are looking forward to celebrating friendship, love and caring at Dryden during our class Valentine parties on Wednesday, February 12!

In order to help keep our students with life-threatening food allergies safe, our school district expectations continue to be that Valentine cards to students cannot have any candy or food attached to them. Items such as goodie bags filled with treats or candy are also not permitted. Trinkets such as pencils, erasers, stickers, etc., are great alternatives as long as they are not edible.

February 12 is also a school spirit "Fancy Day" at Dryden. Everyone is invited to create or choose something "fancy" to wear to show your school spirit.

We look forward to this double celebration!

Big picture

4th and 5th Grade Volleyball Night: Thursday, March 5 from 6:45-8:30pm

The PTA sponsored Volleyball Night is an event for all Dryden 4th and 5th grade students. No volleyball experience is required as our volunteer coaches will teach the basics of the game and ensure that all attending students have the opportunity to play. Mixed gender/grade teams will be formed by the PTA in an effort to keep the games competitive. Registered students will be given their team assignments at check in. This is always a fun night for our students, so please encourage them to attend and give volleyball a try!

The registration deadline is Monday, February 24, 2020. To register your child, volunteer to help, and to read more details, click on the blue registration link below:
