It's Here!! It's Finally Here!

"Inspiration" Recital 2016 is this weekend.

A very helpful and detailed email was sent today.

Read it. Print it. Highlight it!

We want the very best experience for your dancer and for you to enjoy the performance that they have prepared for you!

Just some quick notes (cause really it is all in the email)

*LABEL everything!

*Hair, Makeup and Costume must be done before checking your dancer in for Dress Rehearsal or the show.

*the first costume you wear for Dress Rehearsal may not be the same as the show. look at your emails and the show order very carefully!
you may have been asked to wear a costume to Dress Rehearsal on Thursday that will not be the first dance performed in the show.

For example, all 3-12th grade performing in Finale are asked to come in their Finale costume...but that won't be their first dance in the show.

*Dancers stay for the entire show. (Except Pre-Babies, but we've had that conversation and we 're good!)

*Check-out will be done by age group, allowing the younger students to be picked up first. K-2nd first, then 3rd-5th. Please be patient with the volunteers as they do their best to get your dancer back to you so you can celebrate together!

*NO video or photography in the theatre during the show! This means cell phones and tablets/ipads too! Please respect this request and "rule" of the theater. We all want this to be an enjoyable experience, and not remembered because we had bad feelings when the usher asked someone to leave the theatre for not following the rules.
Thank You!

We are so excited to put on this show! See you soon

National Honors Society Dance Arts

We are so proud of the 9 students who were inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts tonight at Sugar Hill City Hall, and all the members of the ALL STARS Chapter of the NHSDA. We thank Mayor ProTerm, Brandon Hembree, for officiating the ceremony, and Ms. Jennifer Mason for being our Guest Speaker, and all who attended. It was a lovely ceremony to celebrate these hard working and very deserving students: Emily Bryner, Karina Gonzalez, Natalie Schmid, Gianna Stellato, Averie Wheeler, Jonathan Dixon, Daniela Agudelo, Brianna Ebunola, and Erin Farmer. Congratulations!

FAQ - How to create the perfect ballet bun? & How to put on make-up for performances?

We have found two videos that Ms. Victoria has approved for appropriate BUN & MAKEUP for stage and performances.

As pictures are being taken and the recital is coming up take the time to watch the videos and practice prior to "go time"

FYI...the video for the BUN tutorial is done with a BRAID...that part is optional. You can simply twist and wrap the ponytail without braiding it.

When doing make-up the most important parts are the eyeliner, mascara (false eyelashes for Teen Dancers), blush and lipstick. Foundation/primers and eye shadows are at the discretion of the parents with regard to the age of the dancer.

Remind 101

The studio will use the Remind 101 service as a way of keeping parents up-to-date on performance reminders, changes to schedules and immediate important information. We will not use this service to replace emails or newsletters.

This is a free service that allows messages to be sent by the studio to your phone via text or to an email account.

Currently we are using this as a way of keeping in communication for Recital.

Use the code aspare16 if you are adding a new class in the app.

If you choose to receive alerts by text, then text to the number 81010 (this is the phone nubmer) and in the message of the text type @aspare16.

Family Businesses

Did you know we are now advertising YOUR businesses?

Check out the FAMILY BUSINESS section of our website! Many of our parents and families work their own businesses - sales, consultants, health & wellness.

Take a look at what our ALL STARS families have to offer!

as we make many attempts to advise you of upcoming events and performances, please remember it is the student and parent's responsibility to be aware of all ALL STARS activities, dates and events, such as performances, extra classes, and dates the studio is open or closed. ASPA will communicate all such notices via email, on the bulletin board inside the studio, the website and often through Facebook and monthly newsletters. Parents should check these mediums frequently to ensure they are informed.
Please remember to inform us of any email, phone number or address changes.
