Congratulations to Mrs. Barnes! She won the teacher book recommendation raffle (participating teacher's recommended books available at the fair for a chance to win) and received two books off her wish list for winning!
We did have one casualty due to the storm - our large outdoor Book Fair sign was damaged. We will use some of our Scholastic Dollars to buy a new one before our next fair in the spring.
Thanks again to all who volunteered some of your time and who purchased books! We loved seeing so many Clippers excited about reading!

Watch out, Clippers! If you make a mess, our new head custodian, Mr. Derr, will have you swabbin' the decks!
Shiver Me Timbers!
First grader Allie Wagstaff might have you walkin' the plank if you disrespect the Jolly Roger.
Fifth grader Sadie Rohrer doesn't let stormin' the seven seas get in the way of sporting a shipshape pirate 'stache.
Shiver Me Timbers!
Cultural Arts Assembly
Donna tells multicultural folktales to introduce students to different cultures, learn story structure, boost vocabulary, and enhance pre-reading skills. She uses dynamic language, energetic expressions and vocal pyrotechnics to bring these stories to life. The students loved her!
Our next Cultural Arts Assemblies will be:
November 7 - Birdman Dave
February 20 - Black Box Dance
April 3 - Bright Star Theater
