Opportunity to Raise Funds for Art
Fear Factory was established many years ago as an anti-drug initiative to give teens something to do during weekends. In addition, Fear Factory gives organizations opportunities to receive grant money in return for staffing the event. Miss Trenkamp takes the lead for St. Louis and last year was able to raise enough money to get Mrs. Brooks her new Spanish curriculum.
This year she is trying to raise money for Mrs. Frey who wants purchase oil paints for students to use in class. Please consider volunteering one evening.
Fear Factory Sign Up
You should have received an email pertaining to sign-ups for FF. We are trying to fill in every slot for the Fridays and Saturdays in October. We need at least 2 adults each night, and junior high students are also able to help. We are hoping to earn $2000, with part of it being used for oil paint supplies and the rest to be used somewhere else in the building for the kids. We are still in need of several volunteers. Please email etrenkamp@st.louisschool.org if you have any questions, or need the link for sign-up genius.
Thank you,
Mr. Chad Moeller

Festival Week Drop off/Pick up
Festival Week Drop off/Pick up
Members of the parish will be setting up tents for the parish festival. We will not be able to use the parking lot west of the school starting Tuesday, September 11th through Monday, September 17th.
Dropping your children off starting Tuesday, September 11th: Drop your children off on Walnut Street between St. Louis Place and Helene Street. Your children can then walk in front of the rectory, church, and church office, to the school. Please do not drop your children off directly in front of the school. We need to leave this space for bus drop off.
Pick up in the afternoon: Please use the parking lot across St. Louis Place from the church. If it is possible for your child to ride the bus or carpool you may want to consider this option. The fewer cars we have in the parking lot the safer it will be for our children. If the tents are down by Monday afternoon, September 17th, we may be able to use the parking lot west of the school. Please check this lot first on the 17th.

Festival & School Volunteers
Anyone who will be volunteering at school or helping out with the festival (food preparation, making turtle soup, setting up and taking down tents), Tuesday-Friday, September 11th-14th and on Monday, September 17th, from 8:00am to 3:30pm, is asked to park either in the parking lot in front of church or on one of the side streets. The school children will be using the street in front of the parish office and school for their recess due to the tents being put up on the back parking lot on Tuesday. St. Louis Place will be blocked off between Main Street and Walnut Street during the recesses.
Also, all volunteers who will be helping with the turtle soup preparation or any other festival preparation which will involve being in the school building during school hours are asked to first stop in the school office to sign in. Items needed are size 5 (small) blue uniform shorts, regular small shorts (to wear under jumpers) and both boys and girls small underwear. Archery Club at SLS
An Archery club is starting here at SLS this year. This club will be open to students in grades 4-8, and will meet every week on Tuesday after school until 4:30. You don't need to have your own bow, as we have our own that you may use.
If you have questions about the club/team please ask Miss Trenkamp at etrenkamp@st.louisschool.org or contact Christy Fulton by phone at 513-267-3201 or email at chrsty_fulton@yahoo.com.
If your child has already signed up, be on the lookout for an email from Miss Trenkamp containing a form she needs completed. If you do not receive the email, please contact her. It is exciting to see so many of our kids interested in archery!
Thank you,
Miss Erin Trenkamp

Breakfast corner
We Need YOU!
Would you like to make a difference in your child’s school? Well, here’s how!
Encourage them to try out the School Breakfast Program! Mornings can be hectic and making sure your kids eat a healthy breakfast can be difficult in the thick of the A.M. rush. Fortunately, a nutritious, balanced meal is offered in school at the start of each day! It’s fun, easy, and provides your children with the fuel they need to energize their day and perform their very best. So don’t let them run on empty…give school breakfast a try today!
Lunch account negative balances
Starting Monday, September 10th, if your child is negative $10.00 or more, they will not be able to request any extras until they have more funds deposited into their lunch account.

The 8th Grade Lady Cardinal St. Louis Volleyball team loss against the South Dearborn Lady Squires 9-25, 17-25. The score did not show the type of play the 8th team put together during the game.
