Fundraising is something that helps to fund student activities and give teachers additional resources to support students. Through our partnership with School Funding Group we are simply asking for a minimum $20 dollar donation, and for that donation, you will receive numerous discounts on brand names like Amazon, Home Depot, Nike and Oakley. These discounts can far outweigh the cost of your donation.
We are about 30% to our final goal, and the fundraiser will close in three weeks. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!
The proceeds of this fundraiser will help fund:
- Teacher Training
- Teacher Supplies
- Student Incentives
- Technology for the classroom
- UIL and OAP Supplies
- School Improvement
Here is the link to donate, and I truly appreciate your generosity!

“Did you know that the LV Viking Booster Club provides funds to every sport in the district? Throughout the year, football concessions represents our biggest fundraiser and the funds that are raised are used to provide athletic equipment for all sports. So we truly represent one club fundraising for all district sports. We are so happy to have the ability to support so many, but we need your help in order to continue funding these programs successfully. We need volunteers from every sport to sign up for concessions and other support functions by clicking on the links provided below. As a side note, we are now able to accept all credit cards and Apple Pay in concessions with our newly installed and easy to use point of sale system. We are excited and focused on creating a culture of volunteerism district wide and we can only be successful together!”

Volleyball Quiets The Ducks
The 7A Lady Vikings won in two straight games against the Taylor Ducks on Monday evening. Lago Vista came out strong against Taylor with only giving up 11 points in the first set and then 13 in the second. The girls were nervous for their first game of the season but shook it off quickly! Standouts we’re Ada Weyant and Kyrksen Cook! Great plays by all including Eloise Thering, Emerson Burke, Jolie Mosser, Myah and Brooklyn Marquez, Ellie St. Martin and Ava Bailey. You all rocked it and I am so proud of you and your efforts and positive attitudes!
The 8A Lady Vikings started their season off with a dominating 2 sets to none road win over Taylor this past Monday evening. Contributions came from all members of the squad and from every area of the floor. Serves were aced, passes were dug and many volleyballs were spiked in an unrelenting barrage as the Lady Vikings quelled the quack from the Lady Ducks of Taylor. Team members are Piper Olsen, Claire Everett, Molly Roberts, Lanee Arredondo, Abby Tristan, Sydney Mosser, Olivia Parra, Eliana Helton, and Ayva Ritter. The Lady Vikings will have their first home game of the season on Wednesday 9/7 as they host the Mustangs of Marble Falls. Come out and support your Lady Viking Volleyball Teams!

Meet Your Teachers!

Coach BJ Hill
Our teacher interviews this week are Coach Hill(Science) and Mrs. Holden(Math)...enjoy!
1) Where are you from originally?
Texas born and raised. Grew up in Round Rock, Texas. Been in Central Texas my whole life so I'm pretty much one of the few locals still around these parts.
2) What led you to become a teacher and how long have you been teaching?
I have several family members that were teachers. They kinda influenced me. This is my 19th year of teaching overall and 16th in Lago Vista.
3) Tell us about your family...
While I don't have a family of my own, my extended family still lives in Central Texas.
4) What are your favorite hobbies?
- Getting up before dawn to go bass fishing or hunting
- Playing golf with friends
5) What is your favorite thing about being a Viking?
I've been fortunate to have been a Viking for the last 15 years. This place has always felt like home to me. My favorite thing about this place is that someone has always been willing to lend a helping hand in time of need. You're never on your own at LVMS!

Mrs. Michelle Holden
1) Where are you from originally?
I was born in Houston, Texas and lived there until after I graduated high school. I moved to Austin in 2004 and Lago Vista in 2016
2) What led you to become a teacher and how long have you been teaching?
I have always wanted to be a teacher. I chose to be a math teacher because I discovered in college that I really enjoyed forming math study groups to help tutor my classmates. I love helping people understand math. Being a math teacher definitely has many challenges, but it is so rewarding when I am able to help a student understand a difficult math concept. And, of course I really do love math, especially Algebra! :) This year is my 13th year as a middle school math teacher and my 5th year at LVMS.
3) Tell us about your family...
I have been married to my husband Jason since 2003. We have two wonderful boys named Hudson and Hayden, ages 10 and 7. My parents live about a block from us, and they are wonderful grandparents. I also have a younger sister who lives in Cedar Park. All of us get together often, and we love to take vacations as a whole family.
4) What are your favorite hobbies?
Our favorite hobbies are traveling, reading, watching movies, having fun on lake Travis, and spending time with family and friends.
5) What is your favorite thing about being a Viking?
I love being a Viking because we are all such a close knit community. We look out for each other, support each other, and I love being able to teach the children of my friends and neighbors. I feel connected to my community, and it is truly great to be a Viking. Our team here at LVMS is amazing, and I feel very fortunate to be part of this team. We all row!
