Field Trip Permission and Money

Thank you for those of you who have sent back the field trip permission slip and money!

The 5th grade teachers have outlined all of our field trips for the year. In hopes of making it easier for everyone, we would like to collect the money and permission for all of the field trips at one time. If you have questions, please let me know.

Food Drive October 17th-29th

For the food drive this year, each grade level has been assigned a different item to bring in. Fifth grade has been assigned granola bars/cereal bars/etc. Each box earns the grade level points in a student council sponsored contest.

Conference Forms

Parent-teacher conference forms will be coming home in Monday Folders. It is on bright pink paper. I tried hard to schedule your conference on your preferred day, but it can be a challenge with students that need interpreters, multiple children in families, and large class size. Please check the date/time and send back the form ASAP. Thanks!

End of the Quarter

Can you believe that this Friday marks the end of our 1st Quarter! It's hard to believe. Any late/missing work should be handed in ASAP. On Friday, we will do our quarterly "Catch-Up & Relish." Students will have the opportunity to enjoy a movie if they have had no late work. Those students who "owe time," will be able to join the movie after they have completed their time.

Students may bring a snack and a drink (please no pop) to enjoy during the movie!

Holiday Gift Idea

I will be sending a Scholastic book order home this Monday and then again in November. If you are interested in purchasing books as holiday gifts for your child (or others), just email me ahead of time and we can arrange a pickup time (and I'll know to keep it a secret).

Online you can purchase any books that Scholastic has for sale (it doesn't have to be from the book order forms that go home). On a side note, Scholastic sells the "Amulet" book series that I know a lot of students have been excited about this year.

Our class code for online ordering is: H4YVP
