You can choose to attend one of the learning sessions, a few, or come for all. We have offered two separate dates for several of the learning sessions hoping that one of the two dates will work for you.
Each meeting will...
be held at the Cadott Elementary School in the Library and will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 pm
RSVPing is not necessary, just come on in! All are welcome!!!
Hornet Health Tip
We encourage students to bring water bottles to school! Even when it’s cold outside you still need to drink plenty of water. It is easy to remember to drink water when it is warm outside and we are sweaty and thirsty. But when temperatures start to drop we don’t always remember to drink fluids throughout the day. This can cause dehydration, leading to everything from dizziness to fever to muscle cramping and rapid heartbeat. The human body is made up of 60 to 70 percent of water. To keep your body hydrated set goals to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water every day, even when you are not thirsty.
“Banana Splits Groups” (Kindergarten-6th grade)
Is your child a member of either a single parent or stepfamily household? Has he or she experienced family changes due to separation, divorce, or other life circumstances? If you think it would be beneficial for your child to talk about special concerns relating to family changes, consider having him or her join “Banana Splits.”
As part of our educational curriculum at Cadott Elementary, any student (grades k-6) may participate in small guidance groups. “Banana Splits” groups will be starting the week of October 29. These groups, each made up of about eight students, will meet once a week during a lunch, recess, or teacher approved time. The groups will run six to eight weeks.
The purpose of “Banana Splits” is to provide a nonjudgmental atmosphere for kids to explore positive ways of coping with change. Mrs. Manier, our school counselor, will be facilitating these groups.
If you are interested in having your child participate in “Banana Splits,” please complete and return the attached form to your child’s teacher, or email the form to manierd@cadott.k12.wi.us.
