Cardiovascular disease classify's multiple disease's that involve the heart or blood vessels. Atherosclerosis is the cause of many of these problems. Atherosclerosis is the build up of fatty material in the medium and large arteries, leading to reduced or blocked blood flow. Cardiovascular disease is hereditary and if a first degree family member had a heart attack or a stroke at a young age this means your risk chances are higher.

Cardiovascular disease manly refers to the reduced or stopped blood flow in the arteries. This can cause heart attacks and or strokes which can cause death or severe permanent injury.

There are some preventable factors related to cardiovascular disease. Tobacco usages can greatly increase your chances of a heart attack or stroke. Physical inactivity can increase your chances of heart disease and stroke by %50, this goes along with how obesity greatly increases your chances of cardiovascular disease. A diet high in saturated fats can also increase your chance for a heart attack or stroke. Reducing these factors can help you live a longer and happier life.


There are a few ways that cardiovascular conditions can be treated. First is changing your lifestyle to a healthier one. This can greatly reduce your chances for a future heart attack. A can also prescribe medication to lower cholesterol and blood thinners to reducer your chance of a heart attack or stroke, The final way is surgery, Surgery can be done to re open blocked arteries.

How Cardiovascular Disease has Effected me.

My Grandfather had a heart attack about a year ago now and had to have surgery. He also was put on medication to reduce his risk of another heart attack. Unfortunately his chance of a heart attack was raised because of his bad diet. Luckily we have been able to change his diet to a much healthier one.
