REMINDER: Keep in mind that traditional calendar schools start on Monday, August 27th. School buses may be delayed as the traditional buses and students learn their routes. Please be patient during this transition time and don't forget, you can monitor your child's bus with the Here Comes the Bus App.

WCPSS 2019-20 Enrollment Proposal
To see if your family has been affected by these changes at the elementary, middle, or high school level, check here. WCPSS welcomes and encourages community feedback, so please use the resources on that page to contact the board with any questions or comments.
The Grandparents' Breakfast is an OCE tradition, allowing children to invite their grandparent(s) to join them for a before-school breakfast provided by OCE cafeteria staff and the PTA. Don't forget, the Book Fair will also open early for any grandparents who want to shop!

Box Tops: National Box Tops Week
National Box Tops Week is coming – September 17th - 23rd. Let’s ‘Stuff the Box’ and kick our new school year Box Tops collections into high gear!
Start collecting your Box Tops NOW! Ask friends, family members and neighbors to collect for you, too. Each Box Top is worth 10 cents for our school.
Then, during National Box Tops Week, place your clipping sheets (attached below) or bags (marked with your teacher's name!) of Box Tops into the mail boxes located by the front office. You can also send them to your child’s teacher to place in the large collection box in the mail room. Additional collection sheets are also available at the front office mail box location.
Our first classroom winners for collecting the most Box Tops will also be awarded at the end of this collection drive. Thank you for supporting Box Tops.
Volunteer Book Fairies Needed!
We still need lots of help! Load-in and set-up will take place FRIDAY, August 31st. Slots are also available throughout the book fair run to help at the registers and to assist students making purchases.

SAVE THE DATE: 2019 Silent Auction
Last year's first ever OCE Silent Auction was not only a fun night out for OCE parents, it raised more than $20,000 for our school to use to purchase new technology for our students!
You won't want to miss this new OCE tradition!
Go ahead and mark your calendars for Saturday, February 16, 2019 at MacGregor Downs Country Club from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. There will be music, dinner, dessert, the silent auction bidding, 50:50 raffle, a live auction and dancing!

OCE Family Marathon
The Family Marathon is an annual OCE event that encourages children to run/walk a full 26.2 mile marathon with family members at a rate that is fun and safe for their growing bodies. Families run/walk 25 miles at home over the coming months (keeping a log of distances) and then run the final 1.2 miles of the marathon distance on the track at OCE during a whole school celebration in November. Parents and siblings are encouraged to join.
