Meetings with Paly Students and Parents
The Wellness Center staff was fortunate to have the opportunity to meet with a variety of Paly students and parents this month! We were able to facilitate discussions with three of Paly's Living Skills classes about depression, how to find support, and what is being done in the community to address its underlying causes. Wellness Staff met with the Sophomore Parent Network to address issues around resilience, school connectedness, managing stress, and creating balance. Finally, we loved meeting with Paly's ASB class to discuss OCR data and how we might be able to address Title IX issues that our students face.
Self-Care Week
Cold and Flu Season is here!
We wanted to remind parents and students about general tips to stay healthy during cold and flu season. We encourage students to wash their hands, get 8-9 hours of sleep, eat a balanced diet, and drink plenty of fluids. Please keep students home during periods of productive cough and yellow or green nasal discharge. Students who have been ill with a fever need to be fever-free, without the use of medication, for 24 hours before returning to school.
