scientific revolution
The scientific revolution is known as one of the greatest times in history. It gave us a wide span of discoveries such as the telescope. This historic time led to help us better understand the asthmatic structure of earth. We learned things such as the shape and size of earth, what the earth obits around and etc. These gains of knowledge helps us allot in the modern day world and really helps us better understand the things happening to the earth that we cant see. with this being said , the fact of the matter is that without great doctors and scientist such as Kepler, Galileo, Copernicus, and Newton.
Who were the people ?
galieo
galileo was an physicist, mathmatitian and astonomer who played a major role in the revolution. He made alot of inventions that we still use today. In 1596 he built a compass so they would be able to launch and aim cannon balls. Around this time he made alot of money for the invention and also invented the telescope. He started to study the moon with the telescope an went on to discover that the moon had faces.
copernicus
was a mathmatician and an astronomer who preposed that the sun was the center of the universe and that the earth revolved around it. He also argued that the planets orbited the sun. This challenged the long held view of the earth an moon orbiting eachother.
kepler
Was a german mathmetician and astronomer. He was the first to correctly explain the two laws of planetary motion. The first was the path of the planet is elithical of the sums shape with the center of the sum being located at one focus. The second was an imaginary line drawn from the center of the sun to the center of the planets is equal to the planet that will sweep out equal areas in equal interval.
Newton
Isaac Newton was probably the most important in the group of discoverers. He created the law of cooling, the principles of conservation, as well as the 3 laws of newton. The 3 laws of newton was his most known discovery. The first law was that a object at rest tends to stay at rest, the second was that the acceleration of an object produced by a total applied force is directly related to the magnitude of the force , and the third law was that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Threw these laws he became very popular around the 16th and 17th century an this made him one of the most talked about scientist to ever live.
How did the change impact the society at the time ?
The scientific revolution changed the ideas of how the universe was ran. It renewed interest in the scientific subject such as mathmatics , physics and philosophy. The marachans at this time also had a part to play because of thier founding studies for the purpose of promting trade.
How is that change evidence in todays modern society ?
The evidence is the study of todays universe. With the research that we aquired we now know that the world revolves around the sun. We also found out the different faces of the moon. We also learned the earth is tilted on a axis an that it orbits the sun every year. This came from the heliocentric theory that said the sun is placed as the center of the universe and all planets orbit it.
