Maple Ridge Updates
August 4, 2022
Dear Maple Ridge Families,
Can you believe school starts in such a short time? I hope you are all having a fun, relaxing, and safe summer. Thank you so much for all your help with registering your students for the upcoming school year!
It would also be a great help if you have new neighbors or families with new kindergarten students to tell them about getting registered. If you have a neighborhood social media page, would you be kind enough to remind everyone (especially new families and new students to our school) to complete online registration as soon as possible?
In the rest of this newsletter you can find information on:
- Class Assignments
- School Donation Information
- Kindergarten Updates
- Calendar of upcoming events
Keep enjoying your summer! We are so excited to welcome so many new families as well as see our wonderful returning families. We truly have a great school and are looking forward to an excellent school year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Matis
SCHOOL DONATIONS
Something super annoying (and so sorry--imagine how annoying it was to find out) is that for many families who registered early, the donation didn't show up. Please take the time to pay your donation when you log in to see your class assignment. We truly appreciate your donations and support of our students and teachers!
If your kindergarten student doesn't show a class assignment:
Please make sure if you haven't uploaded your child's birth certificate, immunizations, and proof of residency into iCampus that you get that done very soon so we can complete their registration. Please contact our office if you are having difficulty with the online system, but be aware that these items must be submitted before students are registered.
Upcoming Events
August 5- Teacher Assignments posted to Infinite Campus parent portal
August 16- Open House 12:00 pm-2:00 pm
August 17- First Day of School for grades 1-5
August 24- First Day of School for Kindergarten
CLASS ASSIGNMENTS
Many hours have gone into class placements with input and information from last year's teachers. Sometimes students (or parents) are concerned that they aren't with their best friends or didn't get the teacher they thought they wanted. Often when that happens they end up with their favorite teacher and making new friends. I do not anticipate changes being made.
Class placements should be final unless our growth results in additional teachers being hired before the school year begins. If a class placement is not visible, your student may still need additional paperwork or to complete online registration.
