FHS 1st Picture Day This Week

FHS will have School and Sport Pics in the building for two days to update our student yearbook photos and issue new IDs. Photos will be taken during the school day on Thursday, October 29th and on Tuesday, November 3rd. Teachers have a schedule of class times to report - students should be prepared both days as we have our first time taking pictures of the entire student population during the school day.

Ordering information will be emailed by School and Sport Pics. We are working with the company to organize how we will take photos while maintaining safety and the least academic interruption. Again, students should be prepared to be called for a photo on either day.

Families of virtual students will also have the opportunity to have a school photo. Families of students in the virtual program received a link to Sign Up Genius and should pick an appointment time. The virtual opportunity will be on Thursday, October 29th from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. This time slot is only for students who are in the virtual program.

College Application Deadlines

Seniors - November 1 is a popular early action or early decision college application deadline. If your application has a November 1st deadline, make sure to submit your application and request your transcript on Xello or Common App by Wednesday, October 28. Requests can take a few business days to process, so any request should be submitted at least 3 school days before any deadline (please keep this in mind for future deadlines also).

If sending ACT or SAT scores, remember to request test scores directly from the test agency. If students need to request letters of recommendation, at least 2 weeks of time prior to any deadline is recommended. See the FHS Counseling website for more information and instructions on how to request your transcript on Xello and, as always, contact your counselor with questions.
