Knowledge is Power.Unlimited Power!

The first day at Banks Trail was the best I have ever experienced. We had a total of 884 students in attendance on our first day.
The majority of our students were ready to begin their Padawan training (in class) by 8:15. We did have two Cargo Ships (buses) that were about 15 minutes late, but the remainder were on time or even early allowing our students to have some time to socialize before their apprenticeships would start.
I wanted to say a special thank you to our parents who used the Land Cruiser Drop Off Line this morning. The amount of patience you displayed was great. Our line ran very smoothly and we loved how well the traffic merged. We know this area will get even better as everyone learns the procedure.
The Padawan training (academic day) was smooth most students had lockers issued, routines and procedures were reviewed and classes were able to be located. In the cafeteria, hungry apprentices were able to be refueled so they could continue their training. The food service staff did such a great job, that our students even managed to have a few minutes of blacktop before returning to the classroom.
Dismissal had mixed reviews. The land cruiser line (car line) was smooth and most students were picked up in about 15 minutes. Thanks to the transportation department, we added a bus to relieve some overcrowding. This caused a slight delay in having the Cargo Ships depart, but we wanted to make sure everyone was on the right ship. By 3:45 today, all students had left the BTMS campus and were on their way home.
Overall, there were lots of smiling faces on both students and teachers and relationships were being formed. We are excited about the awesome start to this year!
