SOARING FOR EXCELLENCE
SNOW WEEK
Monday Workday Expectations
1. A representative from Human Resources will be at the school to meet with any staff about questions or concerns with Staffing, Transfers etc. They will be in the lounge from 10:00 till noon if you would like to meet.
2. Please make sure your Writing Prompts are completed and posted if you haven't done that already.
3. Prepare your Language and Content Objectives for the next few weeks. This has been an area that is in serious need throughout the building. Preparing your objectives in a timely manner is part of your Instructional Planning Standard. In addition, clearly informing students of what they are going to learn and how they are going to learn significantly raises the potential of all learners! If you are not doing this, your not getting the most of your students!
4. Update any and all PLC forms and Data. (Always stay on top of this!)

Attention Teachers – Important Grading Directions for Marking Period 2 and Semester 1
Whether we call it #Snowzilla, #Blizzard2016, or just Winter Storm Jonas, the last few days have sent us all reeling from the one-two punch and has officially delayed the end of Marking Period 2 and Semester 1 to February 5, 2016.
While the official dates have changed, the PowerTeacher Gradebook will continue to reflect the original grading period dates. Therefore, in order to ensure assignments are counted towards a student’s Marking Period 2 grade, all gradebook assignments MUST be given a DUE Date on or before 01/29/2016. For a Semester length class the “Exam” assignment MUST be given a DUE Date between 01/30/2016-02/01/2016.
The school and data processing calendars are being updated and in general, all dates are being moved forward one week. Please consult the updated calendars, when released, for the official dates.
This information will be re-sent by your principal to assure that it is received by all intended parties. We apoligize for the duplication.
Please direct any system enrty questions to IT.
