Your voice, their world!
An initiative by Omron in association with NAB
What is it?
India is home to the world's largest number of visually impaired people. Of the 37 million visually impaired across the globe, over 15 million are from India. They have limited access to the world of poetry. What is poetry if not sung or recited? What use are words if not spoken from the depths of the heart? - Thus, this project aims to contribute towards making poems accessible to them.
Omron's Your Voice Their World Initiative
Omron, in association with NAB envisaged to create the world’s largest audio-library of poems for the visually impaired. All that a contributor had to do was log on to their website, choose from a selection of pre-recorded poems or one from their own collection and record.
