Breakout EDU makes learning fun!

Have you ever been to an escape room? If so, you have an idea of what our students are experiencing with Breakout EDU. Since we can't really lock students into rooms (I think people might have a slight problem if we did this-haha), we have them break "into" boxes that are secured with a variety of locks. I've worked with several teachers across departments to create games for their classes. We have explored Shakespeare, Poe and The Chosen with English classes, planned trips to Chicago and Atlanta for Life Skills, solved Valentine's Day and winter mysteries with adaptive classes, introduced freshmen to library skills during orientation, and will be doing a game related to immigration with Coach Bell's Civics classes in a week or two. Critical thinking and problem solving are on full display with this fun educational tool.
