A REMINDER to parents about the Halloween parade and parties scheduled for next Wednesday, October 31st. ONLY those parents on the PTO Room parent invite list will be allowed into the classroom parties following the school parade. There is a limit of six parents per room. So far the weather looks cool and rainy for next Wednesday, which means the parade will be indoors. Parents and guests will be able to view the parade starting at 1:30 in the gym. If the weather forecast changes, the parade will be outdoors in the front parking lot and parents/guests will be asked to view the parade outdoors.
Students going home at lunch to put on their costumes will need a completed and signed permission slip to be dismissed from the building at that time. Students with a last name beginning with A-L will be dismissed at 11:55, and students with a last name beginning with M-Z will be dismissed at 12:05. We ask that parents adhere to these pick up times as the parking lot gets very busy during both pick-up times. Students with hot lunch will be able to pick up their lunch in the gym before exciting the building.
In observance of American Education Week, November 12th - 16th, parents are cordially invited to visit their child's classes on Thursday, November 15th from 9:00-11:30 a.m. and then again from 1:00-3:00 p.m. (all grades). If you plan on visiting your child's classroom a Parent Visitation form must be completed and sent back to school by Friday, November 9th.
Please observe the following guidelines if you plan on visiting classrooms on November 15th.
- Bring your driver's license to be scanned into our visitor's system if you have not done so already
- Turn cell phones off while in the building
- Leave liquid refreshments in your car
- Arrange day care for siblings
- Avoid having conversations with other visiting parents during classroom instruction
