I am very happy to invite all ACURILEANS, Information Professionals, Exhibitors and Friends to participate in the 48th Annual ACURIL Conference to be held in the Dominican Republic from June 3-7, 2018. The theme of the conference is entitled Open Access in Caribbean Libraries, Archives and Museums: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Directions. It revolves around four sub-themes:

  2. Policy, Strategy and Advocacy
  3. Professional Development and User Education
  4. Innovation and Trends

I invite all of you to respond positively to the Call for Papers and submit your proposals for paper presentations, workshops and poster sessions as we explore the many facets of Open Access and its impact on Libraries, Archives and Museums. Your contribution will add value in advancing the knowledge of Open Access in the ACURIL community.

Submission of abstracts has been extended to January 31, 2018. Acceptance notification will be sent not later than February 9, 2018. Final paper submission has been scheduled for April 30, 2018, with the exception of posters that will be handed in at the conference. http://libguides.uwi.edu/acurilconference2018
