I will show respect to myself and others.

I will model integrity by being trustworthy.

I will make smart decisions.

I will have empathy by showing kindness.

A Note From The Principal

Hello Patterson Families!

Tuesday is Election Day! There is no school for students on November 7.

The Conroe ISD Board adopted new guidelines regarding student cell phone use during the October Board meeting. While it is not a substantial guideline change at the elementary level, there are changes in which parents need to be aware. Please read the changes in the cell phone policy below.

Positive reinforcement is not just for kids! We'd like to reward our hard working Patterson staff by collecting $5 to $10 gift cards (Target, Starbucks, Walmart, Sonic, Chick-fil-A, etc.) as fun incentives. Please drop them off in the front office. This cannot be done without your generous donations.

Kona Ice was rescheduled last week due to the weather. The due date is November 8th.

Please don't miss our school-wide Patterson Fall Festival this Friday, November 10th from 5-7 pm. There will be games, bounce houses, food, raffles, and a silent auction! This is a family event for all! Join us!

Please help keep everyone safe by staying in the car rider line if you are bringing your child to school in the morning. Buses unload in the front of our school and walking through the bus zone is not safe.

Our school hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:10 p.m., however our doors are open to students at 7:15 each morning. Breakfast is from 7:15 to 7:55 and students are considered tardy at 8:00 a.m.

Please follow Patterson Elementary and Patterson PTO on Facebook for updates, reminders, pictures, and campus happenings.

I am honored to serve the Puma community. At Patterson Elementary, it is our goal to create a safe, caring, and positive learning experience for all children. I will nurture a school community where parents, teachers, staff, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social/emotional growth. I look forward to working together to provide an outstanding learning experience for every Patterson Puma!

We are Patterson Pumas and we have PRIDE!

Cell Phone Policy Changes

The Conroe ISD Board adopted new guidelines regarding student cell phone use during the October Board meeting. While it is not a substantial guideline change at the elementary level, there are changes in which parents need to be aware. Our Foundations team is working to ensure that these procedures are being implemented on our campus and that we are helping students adapt to these changes. The student handbook is currently being updated to reflect these changes. The new guidelines state the following:

  • Cell phones and smartwatches may be used respectfully and responsibly before school and after school.

  • Cell phones and smartwatches should not be used to capture video, audio, or images at school or on the bus.

  • Cell phones and smartwatches should be set on silent mode and kept in backpacks, lockers, or other designated storage areas and should not be visible during school hours including instructional time, reward time, free time, lunch, and in the hallways.

  • Use of cell phones and smartwatches may be permitted in extenuating circumstances with permission from a staff member. (ex. to notify parent/ guardian of a late bus)

News from the Nurse

Just a few reminders from the clinic:

Any medications whether over-the-counter or prescription, must be brought to the clinic by a parent or guardian in the original labeled container and be FDA approved. The students can not transport any medication. This is for your child’s safety.

Please be sure to notify the school of any phone number changes. We need the most current numbers in case your child needs to be picked up or there is an emergency situation. Keep your child at home if they demonstrate any of the following:

1.Fever of 100 degrees or more

2.Suspected contagious disease

3.Vomiting or Diarrhea

4.Severe stomachache, headache or earache

5.A child who is too ill to function in the classroom

Our goal is to keep your children safe, healthy and learning in the classroom. I hope this year will be full of great experiences for you and your child. I am excited to share in the journey!

Breakfast is served at school! School breakfast will give your child a healthy start to the day. A nutritious breakfast helps students be more alert so they can learn more in class. Breakfast has vitamins and nutrients for a strong and healthy body. If you qualify for free and reduced price meals, you also qualify for the breakfast program, with no additional paperwork. You can’t find a healthy breakfast at such a low cost anywhere else. Help your child start the day right with school breakfast!

Desayuno en la Escuela

¡Los niños pueden desayunar en la escuela! Sus niños pueden comenzar el día saludablemente al comer el desayuno en la escuela.
