RICHLAND REFLECTIONS
Week of 1/9/23 at Richland Elementary School
This week we are promoting Leader in Me Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind. Students may receive special leader tickets from staff for demonstrating this habit. Leader in Me is our School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports framework. Staff and students are preparing for achieving Lighthouse status within the Leader in Me community. It's a chance to share our journey with others and for students and staff to shine! Stay tuned for details in the coming weeks.
Keep reading for a special request for families of current 5th graders and registration information for families of upcoming kindergarteners.
Have a wonderful week!

ART UPDATE
Students in Mrs. Robison's classes are focused on winter themed projects during the month of January.
Students in Kindergarten will hear the Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats and create their own winter scene. First grade students will work on a weaving project and create a coat for a silly pup. Fourth and fifth graders are continuing with basic handbuilding and design skills.
Winter months can offer great sources of inspiration for artwork. The beautiful snow and icicles offer us ideas for our own artwork and help us incorporate many types of material into our work. The link below is a great resource for fun snow activities and includes ways to create faux snow!!
