The Copeland PTO Newsletter

President's Corner by Cree Sanford

There are lots of exciting things happening in February. We will have 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade SRC demo’s, the Valentine’s exchange for all grade levels, our 3rd grade performance on February 7th, the 99th day of school, Kindergarten’s 100th day, and 2nd grade field trip to Minute Maid Park, spirit cart and 2 spirit nights. It is definitely an exciting and busy time at Copeland in February.

The Superintendent Fun Run will take place on Saturday, February 18th. If you have not signed up to participate, please go to the CFISD website and register for the Copeland team. It should be a great day and lots of fun for kiddos and parents alike.

Our terrific Third graders are performing this Tuesday, February 7th at 7pm. It will undoubtedly be a wonderful show, so I hope that you will all plan to come out and watch the show. We will have a brief general PTO meeting right before. I hope to see you all there!

Don’t forget to come out and join us at the PTO Mix and Mingle on January 31st at 6:30. This event will be an excellent time to come out and learn about all of the exciting volunteer opportunities we have here at Copeland. We are already looking to fill committee chairman positions for next year! If you might be interested in heading up a particular committee, please let me or any other board member know. Our Volunteers are what make us so fabulous!!

Thank you so much for all of you that are constantly up at Copeland volunteering. I cannot say enough “thank you’s” for those of you that help with Hospitality, SRC, reader parents, clinic, library, and host of other committees. Copeland is fabulous place for our kiddos because of YOU!!! As always, if you ever have questions about volunteering or the PTO, please feel free to contact me at cree410@yahoo.com.

*January 30th Mother Goose visits our students!! That will be fun and exciting!

*February 1st is the 99th day of school!! Wear you JJ Watt gear and support your local Houston Texans!!

*February 2nd is the 100th day of school!! Students are encouraged to dress like they are 100 years old! This is a fun day for your students to participate in, but as always is not mandatory.
