The Three Blind Mice Commit a Crime

To be fair, they are blind...

Farmer's wife overreacts?

One day, when the three blind mice broke into the farmer's house, the farmer's wife had them arrested. They waited at the jail until a friend came and posted their bail.

Trial (and error)?

.After their hearing with a Grand Jury, it was decided that the mice were to be charged with breaking and entering, a felony. After their indictment, each mouse was assigned a public defender to represent them in court. At the arraignment, the trial was set for April 1st. One of the mice wanted to do a plea bargain, but his lawyer told him that it wasn't an option in criminal court. The petit jury and witnesses were summoned to the court, and the mice decided to subpoena Pinocchio to help uphold their reputation. The defendants and prosecution both presented their arguments before the judge, both swearing to tell the truth and not commit perjury. After the jury deliberated, they delivered the verdict to the parties:

The Verdict...

The mice had been convicted of their crimes! The farmer, delighted that his wife had been right, yelped with joy. The mice tried to appeal the verdict, but their cries were drowned out with the celebration from the farmer and his wife.
