Around the Realm Knightly News

Message from the Principal
Dear Knight Families,
Arizona College Prep Middle School will be our new name when we move to our new location on Alma School Road and Erie Street next year. We are still Knights and will continue to strive for the impossible and be extraordinary. Meanwhile, at Oakland, we are gearing up for the end of the quarter with a fun spirit week and some activities during lunches.
Allergies
COVID-like symptoms are sometimes similar to allergies. If your child suffers from allergies, please be sure they are taking medication before coming to school to avoid being sent home. We are hoping to reduce unnecessary absences. Thank you!
Chandler Innovation Fair
ACP Middle school has submitted 48 projects to HISEF this year. We are beyond excited for our students and their projects! Please check out student projects by clicking this link! https://sites.google.com/gse.cusd80.com/cif/home
Spirit Week Next Week
See below for our spirit week days! Modesty rules and free dress guidelines still apply. If students are not in theme wear, they should attend school in their uniform.
Self-Care Products Drive
ACP is looking to give back to the community by hosting a Self-Care Products Drive. From March 1 - March 5, we will be collecting shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste, feminine products, deodorant, and soap. All of these products will be donated and distributed to Chandler families in need. Kids will be able to drop off supplies to our drive sponsors in room 21 (Mrs. Nassar) and 1109 (Sra. Oliden). A school-wide free dress day is on the line! Thank you for supporting and allowing our students to help.
Please scroll for more information on next week's happenings! Have a great weekend!
Go Knights!

They may sign up to work at a table, use a computer, or to browse the collection. Each student only needs to sign up for one spot. Students will sign up via SignUpGenius. Parents may sign up for students, but please make sure the student’s name is listed! POWER HOUR REGISTRATION THE WEEK OF 03/02 thru 03/04
Power Hour is an academic support we provide at ACPO on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the school year. It is a time where students can go to study and work on any of their academic classes. If needed, there is a classroom teacher available to answer questions. Space is limited to 20 students and pre-registration is required. All students must have a reserved a spot prior to attending a session. Power Hour runs from 2:50 pm to 3:50 pm Tuesday-Thursday's. Room locations are listed in the Upcoming Events section above.
Students must be picked up promptly at 3:50 pm at parent pick-up. As a reminder, ACPO does not have afterschool care. Students continually picked up late may lose the privilege of participating in Power Hour.
Notes:
- These are not instructor led sessions and parents must provide student transportation.
- In order to attend, all students must signup weekly through signup genius to ensure sufficient space is available.
- Under current Executive Order, facial coverings are mandated.
To ensure that all students have the opportunity to attend Power Hour as needed, students may only be signed-up for 1 week at a time.

LAST CHANCE TO ORDER A YEARBOOK! SALES ENDING NOW!
LAST CHANCE! Don't forget to order a yearbook for your student(s). ACP does not buy extra yearbooks to sell at the end of the school year. Be sure to pre-order yours now before prices increase, and before presales end. Not the right time financially? Families may reserve a yearbook by making a partial deposit and periodic payments through Josten's online system. We don't want any students to miss out!
