Superintendent's Priority #5 and Dr. Tammy Pawloski
At the conclusion of the 2018-2019 school year we asked staff to complete a short survey that was centered around our superintendent's priorities. Through feedback there was an interest to engage in a professional inquiry into poverty given our school's population.
We then reached out to Dr. Tammy Pawloski from Francis Marion University and regular LeaD5 facilitator. Dr. Pawlaski is the Director for the Center of Excellence for Teachers of Children of Poverty.
The mission of the Center is to increase the achievement of children of poverty by improving the quality of undergraduate teacher preparation, graduate teacher preparation, and the professional development of in-service teachers.
Dr. Pawlaski will facilitate professional development for DFES certified staff on the first Tuesday of each month beginning September 4th and concluded at the end of this school year.
We are looking forward to this school wide inquiry and how we can continue to grow our beliefs and practices so that all students benefit.
Our meeting Tuesday will be held in the mini theater.

PTO Sponsored Grandparents Day
Without evocation ALL faculty and staff are expected to utilize the soccer field and back parking. We definitely want our senior citizens having the closest access to our building. For this day that includes leaving the church lot open as well as side parking near the Little Farm (garden area).
