Principal's Corner
It has been a busy first month and a half of school so far. The students have been doing a wonderful job and are really starting to get into the swing of things here at Pine Street.
This week students completed our fall NWEA testing. Using this information and classroom assessments, teachers are busy planning WIN (What I need) intervention time for both math and reading.
We are also excited to have our after school activities starting up. We are about half way through our first intramural session with Mr. DeVoogd. The students are having a wonderful time learning different games outdoors. Game club also started this week and art club will start in a few weeks. Student Council members have been chosen and their first meeting will be later this month as well.
We are excited to meet with parents next week during parent teacher conferences and share with you all the wonderful things your child has been up to the first 6 weeks of school. As always feel free to reach out anytime to your child's teacher or the office if you have any questions or concerns.
Enjoy this beautiful fall weather!

Halloween Parties
October is here and it is time to think about Halloween. As a staff we feel strongly that keeping fun days like this is extremely important for our students, yet we know we still have to keep safety and health of students, families and staff a priority. Here is our current Halloween Party Plan:
Halloween Parties will be Friday, October 29th starting at 1:30. Your child's teacher will provide further details on their class Halloween Party.
Costumes may be worn to school on Friday, October 29th. Please remember costumes should be of a non-violent nature. Weapons of any kind, fake or real are not permitted. Any masks or hats included in the costume can be worn during the party time only.
Treats: Individually pre-packaged treats are preferred. (IE. Little Debbie, Rice Krispie, individual bags of chips/popcorn, etc.)
Parent Volunteers: Due to health and safety concerns, at this time we will not have any outside visitors including parents or family members attend the Halloween parties.
