Teacher of the Year
"As a former Fair Grove Tiger, nothing makes me more proud, professionally speaking, than to return here, walking these same halls, contributing to my community by teaching our present day Tiger Cubs. Though I began my career over 17 years ago teaching in a local preschool, including in our state's NC Pre-K program, I believe that I have found my "niche" in the past five years, serving our kindergarteners and their families here at Fair Grove. By the grace of God, Davidson County Schools, as well as past and present administration at FG, I am afforded this amazing opportunity. I am a graduate of East Davidson High School, hold an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from DCCC and I have a Birth to Kindergarten Bachelor's degree from Catawba College. What led me down this road of becoming a teacher is simple. I knew as a little girl, playing "school" with my baby dolls and little brothers, that I wanted to teach. This desire has been affirmed over and again throughout my life by wonderful teachers , as well as past and present colleagues who've poured into me and inspired me to want to teach, be a better teacher, to be as good as them. The ability to see these precious, tiny, humans grow and learn, not just academically, but socially and emotionally, is one of my most treasured rewards. It's so easy to say I love my career and mean it with all of my heart! Beyond the school walls, personally speaking, I am married 17 years to my high school sweetheart, Thomas, and I am a mother to our 3 beautiful children, Noah, Jack, and Lydia. We spend lots of time on fields and courts representing Fair Grove teams. I am so grateful that my family gets to be a part of this fantastic school as well! Some of my favorites are: Jesus, family, shopping, summertime, and the beach. To say I am blessed is an understatement and when counting my blessings, being a part of Fair Grove is towards the top! #GoTigers!"

Revised 2017-2018 Calendar
2018-2019 Bell Schedule
At the May board meeting, the Davidson County Schools Board of Education approved a request to increase the school day by 5 minutes, with the understanding that this time would be placed at the end of the school day. In response to this, Fair Grove School's bell schedule for the 2018-2019 school year will be:
Tardy Bell: 8:00am
Afternoon Dismissal: 2:35pm
Traffic Information and Safety Guidelines
Please do not use your cell phone while you move through the drop-off or pick-up line. The proximity to buildings, other cars, and people, including children, make this a time that requires a great deal of attention.
Please do not park in the driveway or fire lanes at any time. This blocks traffic flow and could obstruct vehicles in the event of an emergency.
When dropping off students, please continue moving through the front drive until traffic in front of you has stopped. Please do not drop students off before reaching the sidewalks. This is very unsafe for students as they walk through the parking lot to reach the sidewalk.
Please make sure you pull as close to the car in front of you as is safely possible.
Please do not get out of line to go around a stopped car at anytime. It is important that cars are not moving while students are loading or unloading.
As much as possible, please leave your ignition off while waiting for the line to move forward. We have many students with asthma and air quality is important for keeping them healthy.
Please remember, school personnel on duty are there to maintain order, keep traffic moving smoothly, and insure student safety. Please comply with their requests.
