Broken Arrow Weekly Update
Looking Forward to the Week of January 23-27
Message from Mrs. Green
We are one week away from our new dismissal procedure and all families should have received a lime green car tag that provides the 3 digit number associated with your student(s). Please see more details about our new procedure below. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to create a safe and organized dismissal procedure.
Please know that it will take some time for everyone to get used to the new procedure. Please plan accordingly and know that things may take a little more time at the beginning. Once we build familiarity with the procedure, I feel confident that things will move quickly and efficiently. Thank you so much for your support.
Congratulations!
All participants of the spelling bee showed perseverance and grit. We are so proud!

2. Eagle Store Volunteers to run the store by setting out the available prizes and assist with counting and collecting tickets. If you are interested in volunteering, please see the Sign Up Genius form HERE.

January 30th-New Dismissal Procedure
2. Parents will not need to do anything other than know a 3-digit number that will be assigned to their student or family.
---Car tags with the number for your family were sent home THIS WEEK.
---You DO NOT have to have the physical car tag to pick up your student. It is helpful to have it so we can enter the numbers in more quickly, but if it is lost or another vehicle is picking up your student, you will just need to roll down your window and tell us the three digit number.
3. If you pick up your student by car, you will still have two options:
Option 1- Park your vehicle in the parking lot and use the crosswalk to let a staff member know your student/family number.
Option 2- Stay in your car and go through the pickup lane. Each family will be given a car tag to show the student/family number.
4. The car loop will be continuous (if a car moves up, all other cars will move forward). Cars will not be allowed to stay stationary in the loop and drivers will not be allowed to leave their vehicle parked in the loop.
5. Designated staff will be opening and closing car doors for families using the loop so the driver can stay in their vehicle and keep the loop moving.
6. Students will exit the building when their number is shown or communicated.
Want to see this in action? Check out this video HERE for an example of how this will all look!
We are focused on PERSEVERANCE for the whole month of January. Please check out the resources below for specific activities to complete or discuss with your student(s) at home!
Congratulations to our Perseverance Eagles of the Week!
