Will the Barrier Islands be destroyed by next water surge?
The Ocean City and Assateague Island are both very profitable when it comes to tourism. They play a vital role in Maryland's economy. Especially, in the Worcester area. The problem is that when these Islands create an excess build-up of sand along the coast of Maryland. The shifting of sand has the potential to destroy the islands. Moreover with the build-up of sand amplifies the effect that water has on the shifting of the structures.
The Shoreline looks magnificent, let's keep it that way.
This wonderful scene will be gone for future generations if we don't work now.
If we don't start to petition now this will no longer be a beautiful place to visit.
