Keystone Central School District
Robb Elementary School
Notes From the Principal
We are excited to have the students back with us for the 2022-2023 school year. The students and staff have been working hard to review our routines, expectations and rules. Students are focusing on the 4-Be's: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be Kind!
Students and staff are also working through the first week of our new math program, Bridges. This math curriculum challenges students on all levels, and encourages collaborative conversations about problem solving in math regularly. Our students will be able to share their understandings and learn new strategies each day through Bridges.
Thank you for a great start to the school year and for getting your child(ren) here to school on time each day. Your child's regular attendance is crucial to their learning experience. Please remember if your child is absent, you must submit an excuse within 3 days of their absence.
We are continuing to iron out some things with our new communication app, Bloomz. Please do not hesitate to call the school for support with any issues you're experiencing with Bloomz. If you are not linked to Robb Elementary and your child's classroom, please let us know so we can get you connected. We will rely heavily on our Bloomz platform for classroom, school and district communication with families. You can also get updates and information on our Facebook page. Search Robb Elementary PTO (Lock Haven, PA). We also have information for families on our website www.kcsd.us and from there you can find Robb Elementary School.
We will have a PTO Meeting on Thursday, September 8th at 6:30 here at Robb Elementary School.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our Open House on September 12th from 5:00-8:00. Please stop in during those hours to see our school and our staff.
Thank you for staying connected and we look forward to an awesome partnership this year!

Family Connection
The start of the school year can be a stressful transition for children and families. Summer often means late nights, sleeping in, and altered meal schedules. Returning to school or starting school for the first time means adjusting to earlier bedtimes, earlier morning alarms, and organizing the start of the day to get to school and work on time.
What can families do to ease the transition?
Create a predictable routine for morning wake up, meals, homework, and regular bedtime.
Look at your schedule for each week and look ahead for the following week's activities.
Prepare the night before for what to wear, breakfast, snacks, etc.
Try to stay calm and relaxed during times of stress for the child.
Talk with your child about what to expect and about how to handle big feelings of missing family during the school day.
What can families do if they have concerns about transitions?
Remind yourself that you are doing a great job and that stress from transitions is usually a phase.
Communicate with the school counselor to talk about concerns and solutions.
