TGMS Weekly Updates

Virtual Community Coffee Chat with Dr. Briggs and Treasurer Ryan Jenkins
This year has come with many challenges for our families and our schools. Join Superintendent Chris Briggs and Treasurer Ryan Jenkins for coffee from wherever you are on March 2 at 12:30-1:30 PM to talk about what’s on your mind.
Dr. Briggs and Mr. Jenkins will also share about the future of Pickerington Schools and answer questions about the District’s bond issue on the May 4 ballot. This issue was placed on the ballot by the Board of Education as part of the Facility Plan for Progress to construct a new junior high building and update and create additional learning and extracurricular spaces to meet the needs of our growing community.
The Zoom link to join the meeting will be sent out closer to March 2. We hope to see you there!

Important Junior High Scheduling information
Starting on Monday, February 22nd, middle school counselors and teachers will be sharing scheduling information with the students. We will be sending the Junior High Scheduling Hub out to the families on this day as well. Please plan on taking time the week of February 22nd to look over the hub with your student, there are videos and other documents to help them through the scheduling process. Junior high school counselors and administrators will be available during the middle school E/I times to answer questions about courses and junior high life.
Attached is the scheduling timeline with the links to the March 1st virtual parent meetings. Please note that there are different links for Lakeview and Ridgeview. The meetings will be a brief overview of the scheduling process followed by a Q&A session with school counselors and administrators. Families with 6th grade students going into 7th grade can join the meeting at 6:30 PM, and our families of 7th graders going into 8th grade can join at 7:30 PM.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Junior High Principals; Rachael Hanagan (rachael_hanagan@plsd.us) for Lakeview and Beth Richardson (beth_richardson@plsd.us) for Ridgeview.
