The Monday Minute
Week of May 23rd @ LVMS
We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend.
As a reminder, next Monday, May 30th, LVMS will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.
We are entering the final week of the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) testing. This week, ONLY Eight Graders will test in Science on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please click here for the LVMS Testing Schedule and Daily Bell Schedule. We will be running a normal schedule day for grades 6 and 7, while 8th grade will have a slightly modified schedule beginning after testing (approx. 10:30 AM each day of testing).
As a reminder, if your student missed a section of the NJSLA testing, they will be assigned to make up testing in the mornings of non-testing days. Students will receive this information from their homeroom teachers.
On Wednesday, May 25th we will host the LVMS 6th and 7th Grade Carnival Carnival sponsored by the LVMS PTA. The carnival will have snacks and a variety of games for our 6th and 7th graders. On Wednesday students should plan to wear comfortable clothing that is good for wearing outdoors. It will be helpful for students to also have socks and shoes, a refillable water bottle, and sunblock.
