For unacceptable behavior, I give a few verbal warnings, if behavior continues, the child will need to move their clip down and be counseled by the teacher. Each time the clip moves down the child will receive a consequence for behavior and the final time a parent is contacted. Each time explain what behavior was unacceptable and why and suggest ways to avoid timeouts in the future. The clip can always move up the chart as long as the behavior improves. At the end of the day each child who has a clip on ready to learn or higher will receive a frog dollar to use on Friday to purchase a prize.
