MAY: Finishing STRONG!
With our year-end-edition of the JCSS Family Engagement Newsletter, we encourage you to finish the school year with the same focus and enthusiasm for learning that we began it with! Many students will take end-of-grade and end-of-course tests in the coming weeks, and they need to know that we believe in their ability to shine! Remind them that this is their opportunity to show all that they've learned this year. We encourage you to talk with your child about not only their accomplishments, but also their growth throughout the past year, in an effort to finish strong!
Did you know that May is both National Family Wellness and National Get Caught Reading Month? Scroll on to learn practical (and FUN) ways to celebrate these initiatives with YOUR family! Also, in this issue are ideas for showing teacher appreciation during National Teacher Appreciation Week, May 1st-8th. And, if you are interested in having your child attend one of the JCSS Athletic Summer Camps, see the graphic and link below.
If you have technology needs, or know someone who does, be sure to look below for information on student device check-outs and affordable internet service. Also, let your voice be heard by completing a family survey to let us know the method(s) you prefer for school-to-home communication and a JCSS Title I Parent Survey to give feedback on our family engagement program. Lastly, as always, our newsletter is filled with practical parenting tips and support.
Be on the lookout for a JCSS Family Engagement Newsletter Special Edition: Summer Resources...coming soon! :)
