Welcome back!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Spring break! Welcome back Barb Visco and Linda Pike. We are glad to have you return. Speedy recovery wishes go out to Crissi Carmel. Unfortunately, her appendix burst last Monday and she spent her vacation in the hospital. She is now on the road to recovery and should be returning Tuesday or Wednesday.

Workbook Pages

Please proofread what you are sending home. We have found publisher typos on a few pages and have forwarded them back to Amplify to be corrected in the future. It was recently brought to my attention that some parents have a Facebook challenge to see which teacher sends home the most errors via workbook pages or letters. Very disappointing. I would think it would be more valuable for them to let us know. Thus, be your best defense and proofread carefully. We all make mistakes but let's try to catch them before they go home. In addition, be sure you are connecting the practice to what you have taught and that the homework does not exceed time limits as per the handbook.

Class Creator

Please finish your class survey by Wednesday 3:00 P.M.

Scheduling Meeting

The scheduling committee should plan to meet next Thursday from 12:30-2:30 P.M.

We will finish up master schedule and create shared calendar for next year.

Summer School

Please use the attached letter and send to any student you would like to attend summer school. Please be sure to send letters to any child who has not met your grade level benchmarks (STAR, F&P, ELP). The names of the students you are sending letters to should be included on the Google sheet. Please return all forms to the office once students return them.

Student Characteristic Forms

The student characteristic forms are being sent home today and will be due Monday, May 9th. There are hard copies in your mailboxes and they will be emailed through School Messenger as well. Once they are received, I will review them and contact the classroom teacher if there are any consideration for class placement changes.

Aide/Teacher Placements

I will finalize classroom teacher and aide placement decisions for the 2016-17 school year by the end of this week.
